Well today my dad wanted to show us a swap meet down townish and I was all for it!! Then when we got there I was a little scared cause we were surrounded by Meco's everywhere, selling everything you could possibly imagine!!LOL!! He said we were close to the border of Mexico however I didn't realize how close until we reach the end of the block when we got to a bridge that had traffic backed up for hours!! Sheesh I didn't expect to see that because all the movies or all you watch on t.v is a road block and then you cross over, not a bridge that they can cross to shop and then return home! I know that its probably more complicated then that but it was just so weird to see people just crossing over like that!! There was a sign that said, "Welcome to Mexico", but the border police made me put my camera away!! So I walked back off the bridge and took a pix of the "Welcome to Texas " sign!!!LOL!! We had fun, it was an experience that I will never forget because the swap meet was about 8 blocks long and we only ran into about 8 people who spoke English, I mean even the Chinese spoke Spanish to us!! So the highlight of my day would have to be going to the border!! I don't know why I was so amused but I was and it was a new experience!!!! Until tomorrow I'm going to hit the sack now!!!! I couldn't stop laughing when you were telling me about the cop telling you to not take any pictures! ha ha ha.. That was too funny! So since you hit up the swap meet, you or dad must have bought me something, right??.. Lol.. I hope so! ha ha ha..
i love all the pics Klarah. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I'm glad you got to spend time with your dad, it's so cute what you wrote about him. I bet he feels the same way when he's with his kids & grandkids. Anyway I'll see you guys later tonight..love ya! :)
