I am such a proud mommy!!!

So today my son came home from school and like always we ask him if he has homework, if so he has to do it before playing anything!!!! He did his homework and then started playing his video games. So I asked him if he had a letter from his school to let us know when his Spring Break is and he checked and said no, but I have this !! It was an award that his teacher and principle gave him earlier today!! I was so proud of him and I couldn't help but to give him a great big kiss and squeezed him with a bear hug!!LOL!! Its weird cause I never did like school and the only awards I ever got were in sports and things to that extent!! I mean he has had a few awards this year already from this school and he never feels like its a big deal!! He says that he just does what he likes and gets awards for it. For example he won student of the month last semester and he didn't even tell us!! My sister Sheena told me when she saw his name in a letter that was sent home with her daughter Mele, that acknowledges the students of the month and why they're teachers chose them!! When I asked him about it he just shrugged his shoulders and said, Oh yeah I did get that award last week. That's why I ate lunch with the Principle then I took a picture with him!! When I asked for the picture he said it was with his award, when I asked where that was he said he didn't know!!LOL!! I don't think he realizes how amazed and excited these types of things make me!!! I sometimes wonder how I was blessed with a son that actually loves school!! Its so not in me nor his dad!!LOL!! I was always told that your kids turn out worse then you were when your that age so you have to listen and pay attention!! At this point I know that cant be true because my son is alot more into school then I was, he such an active learner!! Lately I been stressed about alot of things and I felt so bad because when I get home from work or when I finally rest after a long day of cleaning my son would walk in the room and start reading his books that his teacher sends home with him every day!! Some days I would tell him to go read to his dad cause I was tired and he would say all you have to do is listen mom, my teacher said I have to read out loud so you dont have to do anything!! I think I can learn alot from him. The thing with T.j is he knows if his homework isn't done then he cant play sports or anything along those lines so if I'm not paying attention to him and his dad is busy he will force his little brother to sit down while he reads to him. Reading is T.J's favorite subject as well as math!! K.J is so lucky to have him as an older brother because I always see T.J trying to teach him new things!! Or just be very daddy like to him!!LOL!! It so funny to see them together because my boys are the complete opposite!!LOL!! K.J doesnt like to learn anything, he just likes to be catered to!! I cant help but to think how blessed I was to have a son like T.J, always so willing to help me out. I always get stressed out wondering if I'm a good mom!?!? Are my kids well taken care of, or Do i need to work more to get them more!?!? Its so just so relieving to see that my children don't ask for much yet, when I do give them little things it means so much to them!! I cant explain how I feel, but being with my children day in and day out, and being able to see accomplishments throughout there lives makes me one proud and happy mama!!! I love them with all of my heart and I want only the best for them!!! T.j sometimes is my Roc!! When I'm down and troubled I know that he is there to support me and not judge me!! He tries to compliment me when he knows I'm having a bad day!! I think I do things like that to them so much that he feels obligated to return the favor!!LOL! I love this boy!! Until next time....
